The year is almost over and I’d like to give you an outlook for the coming year with this short post. We have great plans for ThemeZee and the slight feeling that we are just getting started – there is a lot more to come.
The big news is that we are shifting our focus to Magazine Themes, starting today.
While we have developed both Business and Magazine Themes in the past, we have the strong feeling that we can create better themes and overall WordPress solutions when we concentrate our efforts and time on one field of themes and target a specific customer segment, not just every WordPress user.
The plain and simple reason to focus on magazine rather than business themes was that 80% of our revenue in 2014 came from our Magazine Themes, most notably from our highly popular Dynamic News Theme.
Here is a list of immediate & future changes caused by this shift in our strategy:
Newly developed themes
All new themes published in the future will be Magazine, News or Blogging themes for content based websites – we will not develop any further themes for business websites.
Addons & Plugins
In addition to our themes we are planning to release a few add-on plugins, which will enhance the functionality and features of your magazine website.
New Homepage
We have revised our ThemeZee.com homepage to reflect our new focus on Magazine themes and display all advantages of ThemeZee in more clarity.
Existing Business Themes
As a matter of course we will maintain and support our existing business themes, we will just not develop new ones. However, in order to achieve a clear course we have decided to offer only magazine themes on themezee.com and sell our business themes on Creative Market from now on.
