We end a difficult year for all of us with the release of our newest Blogging & Magazine WordPress Theme. Originally the theme should be named after the Greek god Kairos, the personification of opportunity, luck and favorable moments. Since the name was already taken by another theme, it now bears the name of the Roman equivalent Occasio. So Poseidon and Chronus will not get company.
Our latest Themes and Pro Add-ons now support Google AMP and are compatible with the official AMP WordPress plugin. AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) is an open source framework from Google to accelerate the mobile web and improve loading times. For this purpose the code is compressed and a slimmed down and faster version of the website is provided.
The corresponding updates will be available soon in your WordPress backend.
A frequently requested feature for our Magazine blocks was the ability to select posts from several categories. With the new version 1.1 the category select field is now replaced by a multi-checkbox option for categories. If no category is explicitly selected, the latest posts of all categories are displayed.
Today we have updated our themes and introduced a new feature to support high-resolution logos. With a new theme setting it is now possible to scale down logo graphics for retina displays.
After a very long time I can finally announce the release of a new WordPress theme. The long wait was worth it, because in my opinion it is the best theme we have ever developed. It bears the beautiful name Harrison and is our first theme developed from scratch for the new WordPress Block Editor.
